This is the course to earn your State of Florida motorcycle endorsement. Once you’ve made the decision to ride, this is the course to start with. It covers the basics of operating a motorcycle and safety-oriented mental strategies. Motorcycles and helmets are provided for your use. Successful completion of this course, consisting of five hours of formal classroom activities and ten hours of riding instruction conducted over two or three sessions, will waive the license test in Florida. The course may also earn you an insurance discount.

Want to practice basic skills on your own motorcycle? The Basic RiderCourse 2 is designed for riders who have a license (or permit) and possess basic skills. It consists of only riding exercises and does not include classroom-type instruction. It is a perfect way for you to reinforce basic skill on your own motorcycle. A skill test is an option and may be provided as a self-assessment opportunity. This course will NOT earn you a license waiver in Florida. However, it may qualify you for motorcycle insurance discounts. Additionally, this course is a great way to feel better about your own motorcycle. Passengers are permitted in parts of this course.

Private lessons are a great way to improve skills on a motorcycle. Occasionally, we use private lessons to help celebrities and officials  earn their motorcycle endorsement without the distraction of other students. Your motorcycle endorsement can be earned through all private lessons, however, it is a more expensive method. We encourage people to utilize a group setting as offered in the BRC to earn their endorsement. However, we understand that certain medical conditions, including PTSD, can make it difficult to learn in a group setting. We are happy to offer private lessons to those who choose to seek training in this manner.

The second payment (balance) of $100 is due on the first day of class prior to the start of class. $100 is the cash price and the fee will be $105 for payments made with Credit or Debit Card on the first day.

Cancellations and Rescheduling:

  • The $75 registration fee is not refundable for any reason and is applied toward the total tuition fees.

No Shows and Late Arrivals:

As mandated by the Florida Rider Training Program of the State of Florida, 100{6b54e7a1882d4f2b06f0f797c58318f15616db25c7706ca96b8aad7802c10ffe} participation in all course activities is required to successfully complete the Basic Rider Course. Additionally, maximum class sizes are also mandated by the State. Therefore, “no-shows” and students arriving after class begins will forfeit all fees which they have paid and will NOT be permitted to continue in the scheduled course. These students will be required to reschedule in a future class and pay the full tuition price again. If a student is going to be several minutes late, we suggest that they call us to avoid missing out on any participation required activities.

Conditions:

As with most businesses, prices are subject to change without notice. However, we will attempt to communicate our intentions to the best of our ability. Third party sales and registration of our classes is not permitted; our services are only provided directly to licensed or permitted operators of motor vehicles. In most cases, if students successfully complete our Basic Rider Course classes, they may obtain a motorcycle endorsement at their local driver’s license office without further testing. There are exceptions to the testing rules which may apply to a “motorcycle only” license. We require students to have a valid driver’s license or permit to participate in our classes. A driver’s license check may be performed to ensure licenses are valid.
